Sultanahmet Cankurtaran’da Osmanlı Sarayı’na bağlı olarak tüm halkın yaşadığı aynı 14 ahşap binadan biri olan Ferman Konak, dönemin yalnızlığına gömülü eski İstanbul yapılarıyla aynı kaderi paylaştı. Yıllar önce ihmal ve terk edilme sonucu tahrip edilen konağın ahşap mimarisi yıkılarak kullanılmaz hale geldi.
